Ukraine lost from USD 50 bln to USD 150 bln due to Russian aggression – Mylovanov

The Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Tymofiy Mylovanov said that Ukraine’s economy lost from USD 50 bln to USD 150 bln due to Russian aggression.

“Direct losses amounted to 15-20% of GDP in 2014-2015. According to estimates, Ukraine’s total losses range from USD 50 bln to USD 150 bln [for example, the Swedish economist and diplomat Anders Aslund gives an estimate of USD 100 bln],” Mylovanov said.

The Minister also stressed that the estimated residual value of immovable state property in uncontrolled territories (Crimea and Donbas) is about UAH 85 billion.

According to Mylovanov, about 57,700 objects of immovable state property with a residual value of UAH 46 billion are registered in the territory of Crimea and Sevastopol.

Almost 120,000 immovable state property objects with a residual value of 33 billion UAH registered in Donetsk Oblast, and almost 70,000 objects with a residual value of UAH 23 billion in Luhansk Oblast.

According to State Property Fund, about 70% of state assets in the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts are located in non-government-controlled territories.

As The Journalist reported, Mylovanov said how profitable launch of land market will be for Ukraine.
