Ukraine’s Education and Science Ministry launched new service for scientists

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has launched a new global open data based service for Ukrainian scientists. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science.

A new search service for scientists – the Open Ukrainian Citation Index (OUCI) – is a search engine and database of scientific citations that comes from all publications supporting the Open Citations Initiative (a coalition of scientific publishers, researchers, and other interested parties to facilitate unlimited access to scientific citations).

OUCI is available at http://ouci.dntb.gov.ua/ link.

OUCI is absolutely free and open resource. The database is filling up in accordance to transparent principles, it has an understandable protection mechanism against manipulations with citation.

As The Journalist reported, Ministry of Education will coop with Google to improve higher education in Ukraine.
