Ukraine’s exports drop by 1.7%, imports – by 9.3% over 4 months

According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, exports of goods decreased by 1.7%, and imports – by 9.3% over four months.

The deficit of Ukraine’s foreign trade in goods shrank by 66.7% in January-April 2020 year-over-year, to UAH 674.5 million, which is three times lower than the deficit for the same period last year. At the same time, the export of goods from Ukraine over this period decreased to USD 16.086 billion, and imports to USD 16.760 billion.

Ukraine exported more goods to China, Poland and the Russian Federation and imported more from China, Germany and the Russian Federation.
