Conflicts between militants and “newcomer” mercenaries in Donbas leading to tragic incidents, said the speaker of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Colonel Maksym Prauta.

“The Russian occupational command is increasing the number of special mobile teams among Russian officers to monitor the presence of personnel at army positions, as well as to search and return deserters,” the speaker said.

According to intelligence data, to perform these tasks special mobile teams used unmanned aerial vehicles.

“This situation arose over to the fact that the Russian military, who were on the front line for a long time, forced those who arrived on rotation this year to pay respect to the veterans and to do some regular work for them instead and stay in combat positions for 24 hours. Conflicts on this ground either lead to tragic incidents, or encourage newcomers to leave their duty posts without permission,” added Prauta.

It is noted that in one brigades of the 2nd Army Corpuses, a soldier of a reconnaissance platoon, unable to bear the mockery, shot another, and then committed suicide.
