Ukraine’s international trade down by 10%

The volume of Ukrainian international trade in goods in January-August 2020 amounted to USD 64.182 billion, which is 10% less than in the same period last year (USD 71.096 billion), the press center of customs statistics of Ukraine reports.

According to the State Customs Service, exports of goods from Ukraine in the first eight months of 2020 amounted to USD 30.846 billion, which is 7% less than last year; imports decreased by 12% to USD 33.337 billion.

The negative balance totaled USD 2.491 billion.

Food exports in January-August 2020 decreased by 1% to USD 13.869 billion, metals exports decreased by 18% to USD 6.033 billion. Imports of fuel and energy products dropped by 38% to USD 5.125 billion.
