The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine (MFA) judged the decision of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation in the case of Ukrainian citizen Pavlo Gryb and called on the world community to condemn the decision of Moscow. This is reported by the press center of the department.

The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation legitimated the Gryb’s sentence (6 years in prison) for alleged “calls for terrorism.” The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry stated that the designated decision of the Russian court, like all other decisions regarding citizens of Ukraine who were unreasonably convicted in the Russian Federation, is another evidence of complete absence of justice in Russia.

It also clarifies that the Russian court supported the trumped-up charges with Pavlo Gryb’s terrorist activity and insolently declined the arguments of the lawyers, who pointed out that there was no evidence or the actus reus.

In connection with the above, the Foreign Ministry called on the international community to condemn the unjust decision of the Russian court on the Ukrainian citizen Pavlo Gryb and to demand the unconditional release of all political prisoners.
