Ukraine’s MFA, US Department of Defense discussed topical issues of security cooperation

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yehor Bozhok at the meeting with a delegation of the United States Department of Defense, led by the Senior Advisor for Strategic Communications (Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia Policy), Catherine E. Sendak, have discussed the issues related to reforming Ukrainian defense industry. This was reported by the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine.

The parties paid special attention to improving the coordination of deterring aggressive actions of Russia, in particular, by strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of cybersecurity and by activities of possible monitoring mission in the Black Sea.

The Deputy Minister briefed the American partners on the situation in the Joint Forces Operation area. He told about the efforts of the Ukrainian side towards disengaging forces near Stanytsia Luhanska, releasing the Ukrainian sailors illegally detained in Russia, along with the measures to resolve the issues of Ukrainian-Hungarian relations.
