The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine refused to support the presidential draft resolution on the dismissal of Pavlo Klimkin from the post of Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Only 160 out of 275 deputies registered in the session hall have voted for the draft resolution (#10381).

The draft notes that, in accordance with paragraph 12 of Part 1 of Article 85 of the Constitution of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada decides on the dismissal of the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

During the consideration of the draft resolution and voting, less than 200 deputies were present in the session hall.

The adoption of decrees and laws requires a minimum of 226 deputies’ votes.
