On November 18, the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) sent a draft motion to the Prosecutor General’s Office about suspicions of former President of Ukraine Poroshenko in the case of possible unlawful influence on a competition to select candidates for the appointment of members of the High Council of Justice.

“Given the high public attention to the state of pre-trial investigation of criminal proceedings against the fifth president of Ukraine, we inform that investigators of the central office of the State Bureau of Investigation sent a draft motion of suspicion against former president to the Prosecutor General,” the Bureau noted.

It is also known that the draft suspicion was prepared and sent to the prosecutor’s office as part of a pre-trial investigation of criminal proceedings regarding possible unlawful influence on the competition for the selection of candidates for the appointment of members of the High Council of Justice in March-May 2019.

The document refers to the suspicion of Poroshenko of committing criminal offenses under Part 3 of Article 109 and Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

In addition, investigators of the SBI sent a draft submission to the Prosecutor’s Office in Ukrainian Parliament on giving consent to prosecute the fifth president, who is the current people’s deputy.

As The Journalist reported, Poroshenko denies involvement in “Rotterdam +” formula.
