The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), together with the military prosecutor’s office, has detained the Russian NEYMA tanker, which was used to block Ukrainian naval boats in Kerch Strait. It entered the port of Izmail under the changed name, as the SBU’s press center reported.

On July 24, the tanker NIKA SPIRIT, which was identified by the Security Service of Ukraine as the NEYMA, entered the port of Izmail under the Russian flag (it was renamed to hide the crime committed in November 2018).

Investigative actions are being carried out – records of radio communications during the incident, and logbooks were seized.

“Crew members were interrogated, while documents necessary for establishing the truth in the case were seized,” the SBU said
