Ukraine’s state debt grew by billion dollars for second month of crisis

As of April 30, 2020, the state and state-guaranteed debt of Ukraine amounted to UAH 2,196.36 billion, or USD 81.43 billion. The Ministry of Finance was able to raise only USD 9.8 billion a month. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Finance.

According to the Ministry of Finance, during April 2020, the Ukraine’s debt in national currency decreased by UAH 59.19 billion (2.7%), and in foreign currency increased by USD 1.05 billion (1.3%).

The Ministry of Finance allocated UAH 9.9 billion to pay off state debt and UAH 9 billion for servicing it. The Ministry of Finance actually held only one auctions in April out of four planned. Following the auctions on April 28, UAH 9.8 billion was raised to finance the state budget.
