According to the Center for Public Health, as of October 20, Ukraine reported 5,469 new cases of the coronavirus. The number of active patients reached 173,788 people.
In total, there are 309,107 laboratory confirmed coronavirus cases in the country, of which 129,533 patients have been recovered (+ 3,044 patients on previous day), 5,786 have died. At least 2,847,376 PCR tests were performed.
The overall incidence per region is the following: 8,523 cases in Vinnytsia region; 11,164 in Volyn region; 11,393 in Dnipropetrovsk region; 7,389 in Donetsk region (Ukrainian-controlled districts); 10,471 in Zhytomyr region; 11,956 in Zakarpattia region; 6,617 in Zaporizhzhia region; 16,987 in Ivano-Frankivsk region; 1,642 in Kirovohrad region; 31,310 in the city of Kyiv; 13,310 in Kyiv region; 25,392 in Lviv region; 2,576 in Luhansk region (Ukrainian-controlled districts); 6,053 in Mykolaiv region; 19,353 in Odesa region; 6,300 in Poltava region; 16,184 in Rivne region; 9,321 in Sumy region; 17,738 in Ternopil region; 29,559 in Kharkiv region; 2,629 in Kherson region; 11,239 in Khmelnytsky region; 18,081 in Chernivtsi region; 7,095 in Cherkasy region; 6,980 in Chernihiv region.
Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Lugansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available.
