In April 2020, the average daily export of Ukrainian wheat totals 14,000 tons, while in March it amounted to 44,000 tons. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine.
As of April 6, wheat exports amounted to 179 million tons.
“According to the annex to the memorandum between the Ministry of Economy and associations representing 99% of exporters and processors of wheat signed on March 30, it was agreed to establish a maximum export of wheat at 20.2 million tons in the current marketing season in order to stabilize the market,” the statement said.
The ministry also noted that Ukraine has enough volumes of wheat for domestic needs.
