Over the next 15 years, Ukraine will spend UAH 25 billion (about USD 0.9bn) on developing the intelligence system of the Air Force of Ukraine in value-based form according to alternative target models.
This is stated in the Air Force Vision 2035, which was approved by the decision of the Military Council of the Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of May 15, 2020, Defense Express reports.
Over the next 15 years, the Air Force intelligence system (as part of the intelligence system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine) can provide round-the-clock location and recognition of an air opponent in a dense electromagnetic environment in the air and on the ground and the identification of opponent’s intentions to prepare and deliver air strikes.
The main priority will be the restoration of the capabilities for conducting electronic reconnaissance (air and ground) of the Air Force.
Will be ensured development of specific and radio reconnaissance capabilities, the corresponding infrastructure and compatibility of elements of the Air Force reconnaissance system with the reconnaissance system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and NATO partner countries, information capabilities and automate reconnaissance by a separate unit and the system as a whole.
The existing reconnaissance model is transformed into a model of reliable recognition of an air adversary and the identification of his intentions to prepare and deliver air strikes.
