On October 28, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the draft resolution “On Amendments to the Procedure for Forming Tariffs for Services for the Use of Paid Parking Facilities”.
This was announced by the representative of the Government in the Verkhovna Rada Vasyl Mokan.
The document proposes to include an investment component in the planned profit when forming tariffs for services for the use of sites for paid parking of vehicles, and the maintenance of payment devices can be included in sales costs.
Thanks to this legislative innovation, local governments will be able to change the cost of parking depending on their location and popularity. That is, the price of parking on central streets will be several times higher than in remote areas of the city. Thus, the traffic congestion will be regulated.
It is noted that the tariffs themselves will be determined taking into account the coefficients established by local authorities, which will take into account:
– location of the site,
– the time of using the site,
– vehicle type,
– the category of the person placing the vehicle on the site.
