Alina Akobiia, the national team of Ukraine, has won the first gold medal at the Junior European Championship in wrestling, which is taking place in the Spanish city of Pontevedra, as xsport.ua reports.
Akobiia performed confidently at the tournament and was the strongest on the way to the final in the category up to 57 kg.
In the final battle the Ukrainian defeated Maria Khalida from Belarus with a score of 8: 0.
We note, that besides Akobiia, Anastasia Lavrenchuk (category up to 65 kg) has won a silver medal at the European Championship, along with bronze medals, those of Kateryna Zelenykh (62 kg) and Roman Vovchak (up to 76 kg).
