Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnyk, commenting on an interview with Federal President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier, in which the head of the German state actually speaks out for the completion of Nord Stream 2, criticized his “attempt to justify the completion of the scandalous gas pipeline,” according to Ukrinform.
According to the diplomat, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier distorted the history of World War II, using sensitive historical arguments in order to whiten Nord Stream 2.
Melnyk said that Steinmeier’s words “surprised and shocked” Ukraine.
