The Ukrainian Antonov An-225 Mriya and An-124 Ruslan aircraft are actively involved in the delivery of goods necessary to counter the COVID-19 pandemic, DW reports.
Antonov An-225 Mriya has already been dispatched to China to pick up about 400 tons of protective masks, suits, goggles, disinfectors and respirators intended for delivery to Warsaw. On April 22, An-225 Mriya, after three flights from China to other countries, will deliver humanitarian aid to Ukraine. According to Antonov Airlines, Mriya is contracted until mid-May.
Antonov An-124 Ruslan flights are also scheduled for month in advance. To Ukroboronprom, which includes Antonov State Enterprise, all flights are carried out on a commercial basis.
