Ukrainian Naval Infantry to receive 60 amphibious BTR-4 in 2021

The Marines of the Ukrainian Naval Forces will receive 60 new BTR-4s with increased buoyancy next year.

This was reported yesterday by Defense Express with reference to the director of the State Enterprise Kharkiv Morozov Mechanical Engineering Design Bureau Yakiv Mormilo.

In total, in 2021, the Armed Forces plan to transfer 77 BTR-4s – 15 linear (BTR-4E), one commander (BTR-4K), one repair (BREM-4RM) and 60 floating.

Also last week was released video of the BTR-4E variant from the tests for the Ukrainian Navy.

The adapted vehicle with additional “floats” was lowered into the water from the landing craft of the Svatovo Navy.
