Ukrainian Parliament adopts anti-crisis law on extension benefits for business

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted a bill amending the Tax Code of Ukraine and other laws of Ukraine regarding additional support for taxpayers for the period of measures aimed at preventing COVID-19 spread.

Some 336 people’s deputies backed the draft law, which proposes to extend a number of benefits for business.

Thus, the bill provides for the extension of the term for non-application of fines for violation of tax legislation from March 1 to the last calendar day of the month in which quarantine ends.

In addition, in the case of the adoption of the draft law, the period for сharge-without-penalty and a moratorium on inspections, as well as exemption from paying single social contribution by individual entrepreneurs who conduct independent professional activities from May 1 to May 31, 2020, is extended.

Among other things, the bill proposes to reduce the minimum authorized share capital from UAH 500 million to UAH 200 million, and also extends until 2024 the duration of the law “On simplifying the procedures for the reorganization and capitalization of banks”, which ended April 1, 2020.
