Ukrainian startup raises USD 90M of investment

Ukrainian startup Grammarly, founded by Ukrainians Oleksiy Shevchenko and Maksym Lytvyn, get another USD 90 million during the second round of fundraising, TechCrunch reported.

Grammarly’s AI toolkit adapts the writing style, depending on to whom it is addressed to. Every day, 20 million people use this tool.

Grammarly earned USD 110 million in 2017. The current investment round, like the previous one, was held by General Catalyst.

Grammarly can be used in several browsers through various applications, including mobile and Microsoft Office. Grammarly is now working on the freemium model (free version). Grammarly Premium and Grammarly Business products are also offered on this basis – money is earned exclusively by subscribing to them.

As The Journalist reported, eight Ukrainian startups to be represented at CES 2019 expo in Las Vegas.
