26-year-old athlete swimmer overcame a distance of 50 m butterfly style for 22.27 seconds, informs xsport.ua.

This result allowed Ukrainian swimmer Andriy Govorov to set a new world record at a distance of 50 meters butterfly.
Yesterday, July 1st, in the final of the competition in Rome, Andriy showed time 22.27 seconds, which by 0.16 seconds improved the previous world achievement, which since 2009 belonged to the Spaniard Rafael Muñoz.
Note that 50 meters butterfly while is a non-Olympic distance.
At the same time, at the World Championships, which in 2017 hosted Budapest, Govorov won a bronze medal at this distance.
