Ukrainian judoka won a bronze medal at the third Youth Olympic Games in Argentina. This is reportedly on the official website of National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.

It is known that 17-year-old Veredyba defeated rival Roman Valadier-Picard from France in the category up to 55 kilograms.

«I want to sincerely thank all who supported me today in this room! I felt it all and heard it! When you hear the cries of «Ukraine! Ukraine!», then you have new forces and a great desire to go forward and only win», the athlete said.

It is known that athletes aged 15 to 18 years old are taking part in the Youthful Olympic Games-2018. Ukraine this year at the competition is represented bys 55 Olympians in 22 sports.
During the last two Olympics, the Ukrainians received 64 awards, of which 19 were gold medals.
