The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova stated that the agreements on visits of Ukrainian political prisoners in the Russian Federation were not fulfilled.

«According to our preliminary agreements, the Ukrainian side has done everything possible for minimal displacements and maximum comfort for Tatiana Moskalkova (the human rights Ombudsperson of the Russian Federation – ed.) could visits all of those she wanted to visit», – said Denisova.

She added that such arrangements were still in force as of yesterday, June 18, but she was again invited to the talks.

«I have to admit, that Tatiana Moskalkova cannot make decisions but only articulates what she was instructed to convey. I was again invited to the talks. I’m going, but …», – Denisova summarized.

Neither the international conventions nor the legislation of the Russian Federation were implemented by the Russian side, – the Ombudsperson stressed. – Ukraine still has no reliable information on the state of health of Ukrainian political prisoners, who have declared a hunger strike.

«Statements made by Russia that the hunger-strikers Oleg Sentsov, Volodymyr Balukh, Stanislav Klykh and Alexander Shumkov are feeling well, are also still not confirmed by any documents», – said Denisova.

As «The Journalist» reported, Ukrainian ombudsperson demands an immediate admission to Oleg Sentsov.
