The Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Lyudmila Denisova, suggests that Oleg Sentsov, illegally imprisoned in Russia, is fed forcibly because there is no reliable information about his health condition.

«We do not have reliable information about Oleg Sentsov’s state of health. Taking into account the statements of the Russian Federation Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova, there are reasons to believe that Oleg is being forcibly fed. Taking food against one’s own will is cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment and is prohibited by international law»,- quotes Unian Lyudmila Denisova.

Ombudsman reported that she appealed to the Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine, Ivan Oreshnikov, to apply to the European Court of Human Rights about the violation of the rights of Oleg Sentsov, a citizen of Ukraine, concluded by the Russian Federation for political reasons.

As the «The Journalist» reported, the Ukrainian ombudsman stated that Russia does not fulfill the agreements about visits to Ukrainian political prisoners.
