Ukrainian athletes won medals at 2018 IAAF Continental Cup

European team, which consisted of three Ukrainian athletes, took second place at 2018 IAAF Continental Cup, which was hosted in Ostrava on September 8-9, informs Ukrainian Athletics Federation .

Europeans scored 233 points. Winners, Americans, have 262 points.
Team Asia and Oceania closed the top three (188), and Africa took the fourth place (142).

Anna Ryzhikova with the best result of this season was the third in the 400 meters with hurdles. Moreover, her 54.47s were the second result in her career.

Faster in Ostrava, were only athletes of the national team of America – Zhenya Russell from Jamaica (53.62) and Shamier Little from the USA (53.86).

The best result of the season-2018 was completed by Natalia Prishchepa.
The distance of 800 meters, she overcame for 1.59.58 minutes and became the fourth.
Outside of competition in this discipline was Caster Semen from South Africa (1.54.77 minutes).

Serhii Nikiforov competed on the first day of the tournament.
With the result of 7.71 m, he was the seventh in the long jump.
