The state concern Ukroboronprom has agreed with Egypt to modernize her defense systems using the forces of domestic defense enterprises.
The concern’s general director Pavlo Bukin and the vice-president and production director of the Egyptian company “The National Organization for Military Productio” Hasan Ahmed Abd Elmagiid have agreed on this, as Ukroboronprom reported:
“In accordance with the agreement, the Ukrainian side will provide proposals for the modernization of anti-aircraft missile systems and other air defense systems of the armed forces of Egypt. Complex modernization may include the complete replacement of the outdated element base with modern solid-state elements. Together with the modernization of anti-aircraft missiles, this will significantly increase the range of detection and destruction of target.”
In addition, during the meeting were discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of ammunition. Now the parties are considering a project to establish a joint production of high-precision and conventional ammunition for artillery systems of various calibers, the state concern added.
