National Academy of Television Sciences of the United States has published nominees list for Emmy Award on the official website. Among the nominees there is Ukrainian sound engineer Oleh Kulchytskyi.
He was nominated for documentary films and news reports (News & Documentary Emmy Awards) in the category Best Sound for his work on the film «Cries from Syria».
«Cries from Syria» is a documentary about 5-years armed conflict in the Middle East through the eyes of Syrian activists and civilians.
Emmy is the American Oscar in the sphere of television. However, this nomination did not become the first prestigious professional achievement in life of Oleh Kulchitskyi. In 2016, the sound engineer claimed the Golden Reel Awards for Best Sound Editing in Documentary in the movie «Winter on Fire» about Revolution of Dignity events.
Emmy awards ceremony will be held on October 1st this year in New York.
