Citizens of Ukraine, who failed to fly out of the Indian capital Delhi due to the closure of airspace (on February 28) due to the conflict between India and Pakistan, were accommodated in hotels.

This was reported by the Department of Consular Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on Twitter.

“Citizens of Ukraine who could not fly out of Delhi are accommodated in hotels. Departure is scheduled for March 1,“ said in a statement.

Recall that due to worsening relations, Pakistan and India are closing airspace for commercial flights and airports.

According to the latest data from the Department of Consular Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, 5 Ukrainians, whose flight was previously canceled due to tensions between India and Pakistan, have already fly back to Ukraine from Delhi.

“Flight cancellation is always emotion, anxiety. But the consul is near, and the issue is gradually being resolved. In the morning, some Ukrainians, whose flight was canceled, will return to Ukraine from Delhi: part of them in the evening, the rest tomorrow by UIA flight,” the message says.

As The Journalist, thousands of tourists were stuck in the airports of Asian cities because of the closure of their airspace by Pakistan.
