Ukrainians Kokhan and Gavrilyuk won medals at World Youth Championship

World Athletics Championships among young people is now held in Tampere, (Finland).
Ukrainian hammers throwers won two medals for the national team, reports sportonline.ua.

Mikhail Kokhan became a silver medalist and set a personal record, sending the projectile in the fifth attempt at 79.68 m. Mikhail Gavrilyuk won bronze in the sixth attempt with a score of 77.71 m, which is also his personal record.

The gold medal was won by Briton Jake Norris (80,65).

For four days of competitions in Tampere, 23 sets of awards were played.

Earlier, gold was won by Alina Shukh in javelin-throwing.

In the medal list Ukrainian team takes the eighth place (1-1-1).
The first place takes Kenya team (4-0-1), the second – the United Kingdom (3-1-1), the third – the team of Jamaica (2-3-2).
