Ukrzaliznytsia employees hold protest action near Cabinet of Ministers

On May 14, employees of Ukrzaliznytsia gathered near the building of the Cabinet of Ministers, demanding a salary increase, Ukrinform reports.

Hundreds workers of Ukrzaliznytsia gathered near the government building wearing bright green and orange vests, with protest posters on which written “Worthy Salary for Railway Employees”, “Power changes, and the attitude to the railroad is not!”, “We are demanding wage increases”.

Before the rally started, the Railway Workers ’Union clarified the list of their demands to the government. In particular it says about the increase in hourly wage rates and official salaries of employees of the company (except for senior management) from April 1, 2019 by at least 25%; payment in the H1 of 2019 of remuneration for the results of work in 2018; Do not commit to a decrease in the number of employees in the company during 2019 due to the lack of adequate contingent on the volume of work performed and much more.
