According to the press service of the company, from February 5, trains №24 / 23 Odessa-Moscow-Odessa and №20/19 Kharkiv-Moscow -Kharkiv will ride in a day, instead of daily running.

“The reduction of trains to Russia is due to the rapid decline in passenger traffic between the countries. Thus, in 2018, Ukrzaliznytsia transported 772.9 thousand passengers to Russia, which is almost 20% less than in 2017,” the message says.
According to statistics, from the end of the summer of 2018, passengers began to travel much more frequently by rail to the European Union.
“For the period from August to the end of last year, Ukrzaliznytsia transported passengers to the EU by 10% more than to Russia,” the report says.
Also, the specialists of Ukrzaliznytsya forecast the further reorientation of the foreign passenger traffic to the European direction.
It is also noted that in 2018 direct trains and trailers were canceled, traveling to Russia from Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Kremenchuh and Chernihiv.
