The US State Department has approved a permit for the sale to Bulgaria F-16C/D aircraft of Block 70/72 modification with associated armament, communications and service systems totaling USD 1.677 billion, the Defense World reports.
The report notes that Bulgaria will purchase eight F-16 C / D Block 70/72 aircraft; ten F110 General Electric engines; ten Link-16 multifunctional information distribution systems; nine improved iPDG systems; nine AN/APG-83 active electron scanning radars; sets of reconnaissance and targeting equipment, modular flight control computers 7000AH and other equipment.
In turn, the Agency for Defense Cooperation sent a corresponding certificate to Congress.
