Late Tuesday night, Iraq’s capital Baghdad came under rocket fire, with four rockets hitting the so-called Green Zone, where the US embassy and other foreign missions are located, Voice of America reports.
As a result of the shelling, at least one person was killed and five residents of the Iraqi capital were injured.
The attack on Baghdad comes after the White House announced record reductions in US military presence in Iraq and Afghanistan.
