USAID will consulate newly elected Ukrainian deputies

The USAID RADA Program will conduct a training for the newly elected deputies of Ukraine.

The “People’s Deputy of Ukraine and his team activities” training will be held on August 5-6 at the Trypilske Sonce complex in the village of Podhirtsy, Kyiv Oblast.

According to the Verkhovna Rada, the participants of the two-day training will gain knowledge about the legal basis and the form of work of the people’s deputy. The training should provide an opportunity to build an effective teamwork in the future, ensure effective communications and interactions in parliament with the government, local authorities and the public.

The training will be attended by 25 people.

“The USAID RADA Program is being implemented from 2013 to 2020. Its task for 2019-2020 is to contribute to the parliamentary reform and to establish the Ukrainian parliament as an accountable, open and democratic institution,” the VR said.

One of the activities of the Program is the training of deputies, including the newly elected ones, and their assistant consultants.
