Fire breaks out in 5 hectares of Chernobyl’s exclusion zone forests

On February 17, a fire breaks out in a forest in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone on area of about 5 hectares, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported.

As it became known, on the territory of the state-owned enterprise “Severnaya Pushcha” near the village of Bychki, grassy flooring on the area of about 5 hectares caught fire.

At least 18 rescuers and 3 units of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.

As The Journalist reported, a local historian who protested against illegal construction sites was burned down in Odesa.
