Mexico declares State of Emergency for heat wave

An abnormal heat wave in Mexico has led authorities to declare a state of emergency in more than 640 cities and communities.

As it became known, on the day, the temperature in some places has increased to 45C. The corresponding decision on the state of emergency was declared by the Ministry of the Interior.

Employees of special services will provide people with access to food, cool places of habitation and medical care if necessary.

Seven people were killing in one of the states of Mexico, six of them died of a heat stroke, another one of exhaustion, DW informs.

As The Journalist reported, a Montreal morgue filled to capacity due to heat-related deaths.
