In 2018, almost 54.5 thousand Ukrainians fell ill with measles, according to Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

So, for the last week of 2018, 2,154 people fell ill with measles, of which 865 are adults and 1,289 children.

"In total in 2018 54 thousand 481 people fell ill with measles (20 thousand 204 adults and 34 thousand 277 children)," the report says.
In general, the highest incidence rates were recorded in Lviv (11 thousand 873 people: 3 thousand 378 adults and 8 thousand 495 children), Ivano-Frankivsk (5 thousand 617 people: 1 thousand 496 adults and 4 thousand 121 child), Zakarpattia (4 thousand 733 people: 988 adults and 3 thousand 745 children), Ternopil (3 thousand 658 people: 1 thousand 268 adults and 2 thousand 390 children), Vinnitsa (3 thousand 422 people: 1 thousand 212 adults and 2 thousand 210 children) and Chernivtsi (3 thousand 384 people: 1 thousand 117 adults and 2 thousand 267 children) regions.
Last year, 16 people died of measles complications: 12 children and four adults.
The Ministry of Health urges parents to be sure to vaccinate children, observing the timing of the vaccination schedule, and to catch up with the vaccinations as soon as possible if they missed the planned vaccination.
All children under the age of 18 can be vaccinated free of charge, as well as adults from risk groups – the military, members of JFO in Donbass, students, teachers and doctors.

As reported by "Journalist", checkpoints in Donbass for the day crossed almost 5 thousand people.
