According to the State Employment Service, as of today, there are 304 thousand unemployed persons in Ukraine, 47 percent of them have higher education.
This was reported by the Acting Head of the State Employment Service of Ukraine, Valerii Yaroshenko.
«There are 304 thousand unemployed people, registered in the State Employment Service for today. At least 47 percent of them have higher education,» – he said.
According to Mr Yaroshenko, in Kiev, Odessa, Kharkov, Lviv and other largest cities’ employment centers, the number of unemployed people having higher education is from 85% to 90% at the moment.
The head of the State Service noted, that the reason for such a significant indicator is in the incorrect career guidance of higher education institutions. So today, in the labor market, the civil service fixes the surplus of people with specialized economic and law education.
According to the State Employment Service, on 3 thousand vacancies of economists there are 5 thousand wishing, in average, – Yaroshenko added
