In the step Pyramid of Djoser archeologists have found bronze statue of god Osiris. As Luxor Times reports the artifact was found during restoration works in the district of the pyramid’s’ western slope.

The statue was found in a small hole between the stone blocks of the facade, when specialists cleared the gap from debris and blockages. It depicts the God Osiris with a feather and a scepter in his hands. The statue reaches only 63 centimeters in height and 15 centimeters in the widest part.

Reference. The step Pyramid of Djoser in Saqqara is the first pyramid in ancient Egypt, which is the oldest of the world’s largest stone buildings. It was built by Imhotep for the burial of Pharaoh Joser around 2650 BC. Its dimensions are 121 by 109 meters, and height – 61 meters.
