Multinational exercises Platinum Eagle 2018 with participation of Ukrainian Marines began in Romania. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The report notes that the participation of the Ukrainian military in this event is aimed at military cooperation between Ukraine and Romania, which is an integral part of the multinational exercises, which is specified by decree of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, that was signed at the end of January this year.
«The goal of the exercises is to enhance the effectiveness of joint actions of the multinational unit, the interaction between the military personnel, support of the joint trainings, preparation for peacekeeping missions, and development of the regional environment, conducive to military cooperation,» – the report said.
As The Journalist reported earlier, Georgia announced joint military exercises with 10 other nations.
