The President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, after a long period of refusals, expressed his willingness to accept humanitarian assistance from the Red Cross, Deutsche Welle reports.

Humanitarian aid from the Red Cross was delivered to the country for the first time since the beginning of the crisis in Venezuela. The plane carried urgently needed medicines and medical supplies landed at the airport in Caracas.

According to the United Nations, nearly a quarter of the 30 million Venezuelans need urgent help. About 3.7 million people in the country are depleted due to malnutrition.

As The Journalist reported, the US Senator wants the U.S. military to deliver aid in Venezuela.
