The chairman of the law-enforcement committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky has said that now attention is focused on the activities of the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov. He said this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

According to Monastyrsky, if the Sheremet case fails, this will be one of the reasons for Avakov to resign.

“And I believe that if the Sheremet case specifically falls apart – this will probably be one of the reasons for Arsen Avakov to resign. At least the scale of this case, the scale of the public outcry and the suspects leaves no other option. This case will definitely become some kind of Rubicon,” Monastyrsky said.
