German Chancellor Angela Merkel arrives in Athens on the afternoon of January 10 to meet with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and other officials. About this informs AP.

It is reported that at the time of Merkel’s visit, Athens police deployed 2,000 officers, a helicopter and drones in the capital of Greece.

"During this period, marches and gatherings of groups of people in most parts of the center of Athens, as well as in the suburbs, are prohibited," the report says.

It is noted that demonstrations are prohibited in the area of Athens International Airport, the area in which Merkel, the northern regions of Athens, will live during the visit, where on Friday the German Chancellor is going to visit the residence of the German ambassador.

Earlier “Journalist” reported that Macron and Merkel will sign a new “Treaty of Elysée”.
