The miners staged the protest demanding payment of salary arrears. This is reported by the Varta-1 inform agency.
As it became known, miners began an «indefinite» protest in Lviv on August 30.
It is noted that the miners intend to block the work of the Lviv Regional State Administration, as well as Lviv Regional Council and Dobrotvorskaya TPP [thermal power station – ed.].
Thus, the strikers want to remind the authorities that they have not yet been paid salaries for July 2018. Moreover, the miners want Dobrotvorskaya TPP to fulfill its obligations [buying coal] in accordance with the agreement with SE Lvivugol.
As The Journalist reported earlier, Poroshenko has signed a law on allocation of USD 1.4 billion to pay off debts on wages to miners.
