The commander of the Joint Forces, Serhiy Nayev , said that Ukraine was ready for a possible attack of the Russian Federation.
“At first they have increased the number of their troops in the area. For example, at the bases near the Russian-Ukrainian border were deployed eight battalion tactical groups; now in the area of my responsibility they deployed 12 tactical groups. Russia also significantly increased the number of aircraft ready to operate from airfields from their side of the border in the Donetsk oblast,” the Kyivpost reported, quoted the commander of the JFO.
Nayev noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces revealed a special type of satellite communications used by senior Russian officers.
Meanwhile, the JFO commander noted that he has special trained forces ready to fight in the cities, in case Russian troops try to enter Mariupol. But the main priority is do not allow them there.
