According to the United Nations predicts, about 9.7 billion people will live on Earth by 2050. This is stated in the UN’s “World Population Prospects” report.

At the same time, according to the UN experts, the overall growth rate will continue to fall, and more and more countries will be forced to adapt to population ageing effects.

According to forecasts, India is projected to become the world’s most populous country in the period up to 2050, overtaking China as the most populous country in the world until 2027. Every sixth person will be aged over 65 by 2050, compared with the current 1 to 11 rate. The proportion of older people in some regions will be doubled in the next 30 years.

As The Journalist reported, Ukraine’s population decreased by about 233 thousand people.
