JFO: One Ukrainian soldier killed, two injured over past day in Donbas

For the past day, February 24, militants violated the cease-fire 16 times in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area, the press center of the OOS operation headquarters reported on Facebook.
Occupiers fired 285 shells and mines using 122-mm artillery and 120-mm and 82-mm mortars 17 times.
In addition, the militants attacked JFO units positions using weapons mounted on infantry fighting vehicles, AA guns, grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms.

"In the area of activity of the operational-tactical group Vostok (“East”), the militants attacked Ukrainian fortified positions four times:

  • using 120-mm and 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers of various systems and heavy machine guns in the area of the settlement Vodyane;
  • two times using120-mm mortars and small arms near the village of Lebedynske;
  • using hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns near the village of Pavlopil;
  • using grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms near the village of Pisky;
  • using heavy machine guns near the town of Krasnohorivka," said in a statement.

The settlements Novozvanivka, Zolote 4, Ekaterynivka, Novooleksandrivka, Zolote 1, Lobachevo also came under enemy fire.
It is noted that the militants shelled residential area of the villages Zolote and Novooleksandroivka.
Also illegal armed groups shelled residential area using 122-mm artillery systems, as well as 120-mm mortars (total firing 35 shells and mines).

"Four houses were destroyed in result of the shelling,” the report says.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, three occupiers were killed and another four were injured.
