This year, in Kyiv, it is planned to replace more than 100 km of heating networks with funds allocated from the city budget in the amount of about 500 million UAH.
As the Deputy Chairman of Kyiv City State Administration Petro Panteleev specified that, first of all, the modernization will concern districts with the most worn out networks.
“The rotary pipes have not been repaired for 30–40 years; we will start a large scale change immediately after the end of the heating season. The city allocates more than 500 million UAH for the repair of more than 100 km of networks,” said Panteleev.
According to him, this will help solve the problem of interruptions in the supply of hot water or heat.
The deputy head of Kyiv City State Administration also noted that Kyivteploenergo enterprise, which supplies heat and hot water in the capital, should pay special attention to the most emergency areas, where numerous gusts were recorded at the beginning of the heating season.
