In the past 24 hours, militants shelled Ukrainian army positions 49 times. One soldier deceased, three sustained injuries in the result of combat action. This was reported by the press center of Ukraine’s Joint Forces Operation (JFO) on Facebook.
In Luhansk region enemy opened fire using heavy machinegun on the Stanytsia Luhanska settlement, and shelled positions near the city of Troyitske.
On the Gorlivka direction Joint Forces units continued active defense near the villages of Travneve, Zaitseve, Pivdenne.
In Donetsk region enemy was active near the town of Avdiyivka, Opytne and Krasnogorivka.
The combat activity increased in the Mariupol sector near the settlements of Talakivka, Vodiane and Shyrokyne.
«Enemy shelled the residential neighborhood Talakivka not far from Mariupol. Occupies fired more than 90 shells using 152-mm artillery. There are no casualties among civilians during the attack, just the local infrastructure took some damage», – the message reported.
During the hostilities, one Ukrainian defender was killed, three others were wounded. Ukrainian forces eliminated four militants, while another four were wounded.
As «The Journalist» reported, authorities of Kyiv banned fireworks during the JFO in Donbas.
